FAQ

What's the difference between fixed and variable costs?
Fixed costs stay the same regardless of how much you sell -- rent, software subscriptions, insurance. Variable costs scale with each sale -- materials, subcontractor fees, per-transaction charges. Break-even analysis needs both to work out how many sales cover your fixed costs.
What is contribution margin?
The amount left from each sale after variable costs, before fixed costs are considered -- price per unit minus variable cost per unit. This is what actually pays down your fixed costs and, beyond break-even, becomes profit.
Is my data sent anywhere?
